What a Crazy World (1963)

What a Crazy World is a 1963 film directed by Michael Carreras from a script by Carreras and Alan Klein, from the latter's stage play. An unemployed working class lad Alf Hitchens has an on-off relationship with his girlfriend Marilyn, whilst trying to sell a song he has written. Cheery pop musical featuring a number of late 1950's and early 1960's pop acts, including an appearance by Freddie and the Dreamers. Viewed today, some comedy scenes are not politically correct but look out for Michael Ripper in several amusing cameo roles, bemoaning the "bleeding kids" he encounters.
