The Unseen (1945)
The Unseen is a 1945 film directed by Lewis Allen that starred Joel McCrea. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound Recording (Loren L. Ryder), and is based on the novel Midnight House (US title: Her Heart in Her Throat) by Ethel Lina White.
