The Newcomer in The Cabbage is a 1989 short Soviet Russian stop-motion animation film by Vladimir Danilevich. It is the first film of a tetralogy about the adventures of The Newcomer Vaniusha and his friends. It was followed by Vaniusha The Newcomer, Vaniusha and The Space Pirate and Vaniusha and The Giant.
