Thamizhan (2002)
Thamizhan is a 2002 Tamil film directed by Majeed and produced by G. Venkateswaran. The film stars Vijay in the lead role with Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra, making her debut as a lead actress. Revathi, Nassar, Ashish Vidyarthi and Vivek also play pivotal roles in the film, while the film's score and soundtrack were composed by D. Imman. The film was released on Tamil New Year's Day in the year 2002 to mixed critical acclaim. It is being remade in Hindi in 2014 as Lawyer Surya Singh and is being dubbed in Telugu as Dammunte Kasko.
