Starts Friday (2009)

Starts Friday is the first feature film from writer and director Beranrd Anthony Lewandowski. Initially written in 2000 for HBO's first season of Project Greenlight, Starts Friday is the brainchild of a former movie theater projectionist and film-school graduate who assembled a $500 shooting budget, some unknown actors from Milwaukee, a makeshift crew, and an interesting assortment of East Side Milwaukee locations for this coming-of-age, stoner comedy. Written with the help of his wife and writing partner, Lindsey Catherine Becker, Lewandowski would wear multiple hats and serve as the only permanent crew person, the only other "crew" member being a revolving boom operator. Lewandowski would function as Starts Friday's Director of Photography, and the picture's Co-Editor. The film was released on December 10, 2009 at the Times Cinema on Milwaukee's West Side.
