Outside Providence (1999)
Outside Providence (1999) is an American film adaptation by the film's director, Michael Corrente, of Peter Farrelly's novel of the same name (1988). Cowriters: Corrente with the brothers Peter and Bobby Farrely. It is about Timothy "Dildo/Dunph" Dunphy, his life at mischief, "incentive" to attend the Cornwall Academy preparatory boarding school, and realization that the haze in which he has lived has to give way to something that will stay with him forever. The book is based on the author's experience at Kent School, a prep school in Kent, Connecticut.
