Ondu Muttina Kathe (1987)
Ondu Muttina Kathe which literally means 'Story of a Pearl' is a 1987 Indian Kannada film movie which is directed by actor/director Shankar Nag, starring the legendary Rajkumar in the lead role. It is loosely based on John Steinbeck's book The Pearl. It is considered as the cult classic in the history of Kannada cinema. Though the film was not a big success, the movie is still remembered for its brilliant story and its technical superiority. It is said to be the first Indian film to be shot underwater. This film is also notable for the underwater fighting scene between Rajkumar and an octopus.
