Nam Naadu (1969)
Nam Naadu (English: Our Country) is a 1969 Tamil movie starring M.G.R and Jayalalitha. The film was produced by the famous Vijaya Productions in the banner name Vijaya International. The film was remade in Hindi in the year 1972 as Apna Desh (Our Country) by the same director with Rajesh Khanna reprising M.G.R's role. It ran more than 100 days in Chennai and other major cities. Box office hit next to Adimai Pen. MGR's acting was very natural for the character of the commonman rose up to the Chairman of the Local body and renders justice to the poor.
