Ladies of the Chorus is a 1948 Columbia Pictures film starring Marilyn Monroe in her first major role as Peggy Martin, a dancer who falls in love with a wealthy man, Rand Brooks. Adele Jergens played her mother, despite the fact that Jergens was only nine years older than Monroe; she worries about the class difference between the two, and wonders if her daughter will be happy.
