Kandam Becha Kottu (1961)
Kandam Becha Kottu (, ) is an Indian film in Malayalam language by T. R. Sundaram, starring Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair and Aranmula Ponnamma. It is the first colour film in Malayalam. Based on a popular novel, which was also staged as a play under the same title, the screen version in Geva color was a big box office success. Its dialogues are written by renowned writer K. T. Muhammed and is based on "Kozhikkodan slang" of Malayalam. The film received a certificate of merit at the National Film Awards.
