How Rastus Gets His Turkey (1910) is the first of a series of slapstick comedy films that focuses on an African American named Rastus (actually a white man in blackface). In this film, Rastus tries to steal a turkey for his Thanksgiving dinner. It stereotypes him as a gambler as well as a chicken and watermelon lover.
