Gangster (2014)
Gangster is a Malayalam gangster film directed by Aashiq Abu. Mammootty plays the lead role as Akbar Ali Khan, alongwith Nyla Usha and Aparna Gopinath as the female leads. The movie also features John Paul, T. G. Ravi, Sekhar Menon, Kunchan, Alexx O'Nell, Hareesh Peradi and Dileesh Pothan in supporting roles. The movie was written by Ahmed Sidhique and Abhilash Kumar, with music by Deepak Dev and cinematography by Alby. The film is produced by OPM and distributed by Aan Mega Media. In an online poll conducted by Muyals Media, Gangster was voted as the most awaited Malayalam film of the year. The film released on 11 April 2014 to predominantly negative reviews.
