Gabbar (2015)
Gabbar is an upcoming Hindi action drama film, directed by Krish and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. It features Akshay Kumar and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood and Sunil Grover will play important supporting roles. The soundtrack and film score are composed by Sajid-Wajid. The film started in early 2014 and will release worldwide on 23 January 2015 coinciding with the Republic Day weekend in India. It is an official remake of the 2002 critically and commercially successful Tamil A. R. Murugadoss film Ramana, starring Vijaykanth and Simran in lead Roles. The original was remade in Telugu as Tagore with Chiranjeevi in the lead and then in Kannada as Vishnu Sena with Vishnuvardhan in the lead role.
