Fear (1917)
Fear (German: Furcht) is a 1917 German silent horror film directed by Robert Wiene and starring Bruno Decarli, Conrad Veidt and Bernhard Goetzke. After stealing a religious statue from an Indian temple, a German Count is cursed by a local priest who tells him he has only seven years to live. The Count returns home and grows increasingly insane until he eventually commits suicide seven years after the theft. The Priest then collects the statue to return to its rightful home.
