Captain Eddie (1945)
Captain Eddie is a 1945 American drama film directed by Lloyd Bacon and starring Fred MacMurray, Lynn Bari and Charles Bickford. The film is a biopic of the American pilot Edward Vernon Rickenbacker, from his experiences as a Flying ace during World War I to his later involvement as a pioneering figure in civil aviation. The premiere was held in Rickenbacker's hometown of Columbus, Ohio attended by a mixture of politicians and celebrities including the actress Carole Landis.
