It premiered at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival. Gregg Alexander co-wrote songs for the film with Danielle Brisebois, Nick Lashley, Nick Southwood, and Rick Nowels. John Carney and Glen Hansard also contributed as songwriters for the film's music.
