Battle Beyond the Sun (1959)
Battle Beyond the Sun (, translit. Nebo zovet, lit. The Heavens Beckon) is a 1959 Soviet science fiction film directed by Mikhail Karyukov and Aleksandr Kozyr. Battle Beyond the Sun is the English-dubbed, re-edited U.S. version of the film. It tells of the "space race", with the USSR forced into competing with the USA to become the first nation to land a spacecraft on the planet Mars.
